This is a rarely offered perennial from China which is completely herbaceous through the winter months. Growth starts in spring with the emergence or the new soft green shoots which are covered with soft hairs. The stems reach around 40 cms high or so and in summer the flowers are borne. A little later after the flowers, clean white berries are borne which last for many weeks into the early winter. Very similar to T. himalayanum but with dentate foliage and white fruits as opposed to red.
