A rarely offered hardy Primula which produces wavy edged light green leathery leaves with prominent veins and paler midrib. The flowers are borne on stems which rise in multiples from the centre of each rosette. Each flower is a typicaly flattened shape with a deep indent, outward facing and has a feint scent lasting about one week. Will tolerate full sun in the north of the country if the soil is very moist at all times. This species spreads by producing a new plant at the end of the flower stem as it arches down into contact with the soil and so can multiply readily in the right conditions. Not invasive but will form a solid colony if allowed.
