A more unusual species of Primula with much more linear foliage than normal for primulas. The leaves are pale green, up to 2 cms wide, around 10 cms long being clean green on the underside also. The margins are completely smooth and the upper surface retains some of the fold marks which are present when the leaf unfurls. Flowers are borne on rigid stems to a height of 30 cms or so and are usually a purple-magenta-pink in colour. They are held in loose clusters and are pendulous.
