A rarely offered little species Primula from Tibet. From the Cortusoides group this primula grows in early spring from slender rhizomes which lie just beneath the soil surface. Leaves are the first to emerge on petioles which reach around 5 cms or so in length, the leaves are more or less rounded but with deep lobes, deep green in colour. Flowers are a deep pinkish-red colour on our form which is maintained by division, around 6 inches in height. Each is held in a loose head with around 8 flowers in each.
