We are very pleased to offer this species from Japan which is similar to A. tashiroi. The shoots on this species emerge in early spring, from the start it looks interesting - as do all of this genus. Green and white stripes on the growing point erupt to reveal the folded leaves, two on this species which unfurl to form a digitate leaf. Rich green in colour, they remain on the plant well into the summer. Flowers are quite unique in the Arisaema world, they are green at the base with a strong bloom to the outer surface, with a long upward pointing purplish spathe limb (hood) occasionally all green. Page 256 in Guy & Liliane Gusman's book! Lovely. A must for the keen collector. High price is influenced from original bought in material.
