A rarely offered species and possibly only by Edrom Nursery in the past. Foliage rises in late spring from typical flattened tubers and is rich greenin colour. The central midrib holds the leaflets in a circular fashion leaving the centre for the flower to protrude through. The flower is rather like A. tortuosum, pale creamy-green with the spadix emerging from the spathe and pointing sharply upwards for up to 15 cms. a nice species in bothe leaf and flower.
