Fully hardy hybrid with the usual grass/gladioli-like leaves which are evergreen in all but the hardest of winters. These are bluish-green and rise directly from the corm to reach around 90 cms high or so. The flowers are borne in summer and these are the main interest. The common name of Angel's Fishing Rod is quite apt as the flower spike arches over with the flowers hanging down from the undersides. These are around 2 cms wide and quite waxy in texture. Easy in soil which doesn't dry out but is not waterlogged.
