Rarely offered herbaceous perennial with light green rounded scalloped leaves, more so than C brotheri, which make dense clumps in a relatively short time. Being very much like a primula in appearance, the flowers are no exception. These are borne on slender stems which reach a height of around 25 cms or so with the flowers clustered at the top, usually hanging from one side. Each flower is a rich purple/pink, pendulous and bell-like, around 12 in number.
