Attractive woodland perennial from North America. Herbaceous in nature, this plant grows from stout rhizomes and quickly makes dense clumps of soft green foliage. This is rather bamboo-like in shape - pointed and narrow, and held on rigid stems to around 30 cms high. The flowers are pale yellow yellow and hang pendulously from the upper parts of the stem, maybe a little smaller than U. grandiflora.
