A true dwarf form of the western White Trillium which comes from the western USA - in particular Vancouver Island. This species, it is beleived, has become this small because of natural selection. The cold exposed winds and sunny rock crevices have made the species evolve, the straight species would not survive being too big. The leaves are a deep green colour as usual and the flowers are borne on short stems. Flower colour is a pale pink to deep pink and becomes paler with age. Please note - the photograph is of a larger form and is also grown in a pot in 'ideal' conditions.
