Despite being a British native, this little plant is rarely offered. It is a 'wintergreen' in that the foliage emerges from the tiny tubers in early winter to a height of maybe 5cms or so. The leaves are a rich green and quite small, making mats of growth from which rise the flower stems. The flowers are on erect stem to 20 cms high and are a clean white being double. An improbable number is produced for such a dainty little plant. Worthy of space in anyone's garden.
