An easy woodland plant to grow given a little soil moisture and light shade. Resembling an Asarum in leaf but not in plant habit, it's taller at around 30 to 40 cms high. Heart shaped slightly felted leaves are pale green and help highlight the bright yellow flowers which are borne in the leaf axils. These are produced in late summer but sporadic flowering occurs from mid summer. A good garden plant worthy of a spot amongst other shady plants.
