This is a large hardy Salvia collected from China in lightly wooded areas. Foliage is big and rounded with a purplish hint to the undersides. this makes a log hummock of growth from which the flower stems rise to around 90cms or so.
  Bright yellow tubular flowers borne throughout the summer months.
