Hard working little plants from the Dolomites. Herbaceous in hard winters, the new foliage rises in early spring before the flowers. This is sage-green and semi-glossy, quite deeply dissected and rising directly from the rootstock making little tufts of growth. Flowers are quite simple, white buttercup-like and held singly on 10 cms stems, produced numerously. Quite similar in appearance to Ranunculus alpestris but the leaves are a little more dissected and not as deep green.
