Pulsatillas are long established perennials for the rock garden. Leaves rise just after the flowers in spring on this species. They are very deeply indented and at first appearance are completely furry but later expand to reveal their true form - finely serrated. Flowers are bell like but held erect with a furry covering. Flower colour is a little variable but generally pale pinks although other colours may come in.
