A more unusual species of Primula with much more linear foliage than normal for primulas. The leaves are pale green, up to 2 cms wide, the margins are completely smooth. Flowers are borne on rigid stems to a height of 30 cms or so and are a purplish violet sort of colour having a yellow eye. Late to grow in the spring but then it does it all in a rush!
New Mexico and Arizona.
