A good subject for a shady spot in the garden where the bright foliage will lighten the tone. Leaves are held on rigid stems which are the main attraction being bright red! These tend to arch over towards the top. The leaves can be up to 7 cms long although 5cms is more usual, these have little or no petiole and are a rich deep green. The flowers are held in the leaf axils and hang just below the leaves. Colour is usually a creamy white.
