An ideal trough or rock garden plant. The whole plant never exceeds around 12 cms wide and 2 cms high. The foliage is linear and pale green although this colour is completely obscured by masses of fine white hairs giving a white colouration. Flowers are borne on slender stems from the centre of the rosette, colour is a deep brownish colour. They are fairly insignificant and we grow the plant for its foliage.
