An easy and reliable little gem flowering in the middle of the year. A clump forming perennial for a sunny spot in most garden soils but not too wet. Good for a trough, rock garden or scree. Deep grey/green almost rush-like leaves up to 25 cms high emerge early in the season and are untouched by late spring frosts. The flowers rise from the centre of this leaf sheath and open slowly to reveal the creamy white petals which have maroon lines following the veins. A scent is also present although it may not be considered pleasant!
