A lovely species from the Caucasus with foliage consisting of several rich-green pointed leaflets and all held on a rigid stem which can reach around 50 cms in height. Growth starts early in spring when the young shoots are bright red giving interest from the off! Flowers on this form are palest creamy yellow and last for several weeks. Attractive dark seeds follow which are held in a bright crimson-red receptacle on opening. Lasts for many weeks if the birds don't take them! Young plants.
