A reliable bulbous alpine plant which provides a profusion of flowers in summer. The leaves are the first to emerge in mid spring from the fibrous bulb, these are much divided and greyish green in colour arranged in a rounded compressed whorl type shape. The flowers are borne after the first leaves have opened, these are a from a pale to vibrant pink in colour. The flowers are broadly trumpet shaped with a wide mouth.
