This is an ideal plant for a shadier spot in the garden, whether the shade is cast by trees or a shed is irrelevant. Leaves emerge very early in the season, they are covered with deep brown bristles while young but become less visible as the leaf matures. Leaves are lance shaped and covered variably with brown bristles. The flowers are held on rigid stems which carry few leaves. Each stem holds several flowers each, the flowers facing outwards and slightly downwards. Colour is a clean white and they look good when planted along with the blue hybrids listed here. In our opinion, this is the best of the whites listed here due to it's clean white flowers and vigour.
A good strong growing white for the garden which clumps up very well.
