A strong growing chinese species which begins growth in early spring with the emergence of the strong arching rich green stems. These carry both leaves and flowers, the leaves are deep green with conspicuous deep veining and the whole reaches around 60 cms in height. Flowers are small and star-like, numerous , produced in terminal racemes and creamy white with no obvious scent. bright orange berries follow which persist well into late summer.
