This is a lovely deciduous shrub from the Northern USA. Foliage is a soft green and lightly scalloped, being held on stems to a height of around 1.5 metres high and wide. Flowers are very much hydrangea-like and it belongs to the Hydrangea family of shrubs. Five petals to each flower gives it it's common name of Fivepetal Waxflower and it does have a waxy texture also.
