A new herbaceous perennial grown mainly for the foliage effect, it does however have attractive flowers. Foliage emerges in early spring from swollen roots. Colour is very crisp, wide white splash to the centre or the edge of the leaf, and deep green towards the edge. Flowers are borne in mid summer on rigid stems, each stems carries numerous flowers of a tubular shape. Colour is lavender-purple and these are followed by green seed pods.
