A herbaceous perennial grown mainly for the foliage effect, it does however have attractive flowers. Foliage emerges in early spring from swollen roots. Colour is rich green with a fine white edge. This is a sport from Tiny Tears and as such it is quite vigorous, taking no time to grow into a good clump.
  Flowers are borne in mid summer on rigid stems, each stems carries numerous flowers of a tubular shape. Colour is lavender-purple.
