Easy to grow in a moist but well drained soil with a little shade, particularly in summer as the sun will scorch the leaves. The foliage is the typical three lobed affair and held on wiry petioles all originating from a central point. The flowers are the obvious attraction, and these plants have a secure following in the plant world with more and more new hybrids coming along every day. This particular hybrid is a fully double, the outer petals being the largest and the inner petals being numerous and densely packed but open enough to give an impressive flower. Blue petals to the outer, then a loose ring of white turning deepest green. This is one of our largest flowering forms reaching nearly 2 cms wide. It flowers from early January to mid march.
