A rarely offered herbaceous perennial, the species coming from Europe. The foliage is the main attraction on this plant, emerging in very early spring or late winter. The leaves are edged with a variable creamy-yellow margin. The flower bracts are also edged with this margin making the whole effect look complete. The flowers themselves are pale golden-yellow and very small but numerous in each head. Please note that these are young plants and care must be taken to position them well, rich moist soil is a must.
