A rarely offered bulbous plant from South Africa where it grows on cliff faces in the Drakensberg mountain range. It has an unusual name of 'Suicide Lily' which apparently is because people will climb down the cliff face in and attempt to see the flower in close up!
Easy in a moist but well drained sunny site where the bright red flowers will shine in late summer.
