Typical rich green evergreen leaves clasp the short stems which make a mat of growth only a few cms or so in height. The larger of the shoots produce flowers which are held solitarily just above the foliage. Not as floriferous as the sino types of Gentian but each individual flower is significantly larger in every dimension. Very rich deep blue with a green spotted throat and a good longevity make these plants ideal for troughs etc.
