Growing from our own collected seed from open pollinated plants. This one stood out as having smaller than normal leaves being rounded at the tips and appearing more free flowering, similar to alpina but not quite!
The larger of the shoots in the clumps produce flowers which are held solitarily just above the foliage. Not as floriferous as the sino types of Gentian but each individual flower is significantly larger in every dimension and last much longer. Deep blue with a variable green spotting to the throat and a good longevity make these plants ideal for troughs etc.
