A choice and rarely offered species from Siberia which rises early in the season. The leaves are very narrow and lanceolate, greyish-green in colour and the terminal leaves being narrower than the lower and often have tendril-like appendages which will clasp thin branches etc for support. Flowers are numerous and borne in the upper axils and stem terminus. Colour is pale purplish with yellow chequering, they are pendulous and last for around two weeks. A good form for a sunny spot.
