A super form of fritillary which is robust enough to multiply quickly in the garden situation. Rigid greyish-green stems carry lanceolate grey-green leaves to a height of around 35cms or so. The flowers are borne on the stem tips, usually one but occasionally two. Each is around 2 cms wide when fully open and more tall. Colour is a pale straw yellow and each last for a long time, giving interest even when immature as the colour starts as green and going through the colour phases until mature.
