An attractive herbaceous bulbous plant which besides attractive flowers, has interesting foliage. This emerges in early spring and is strongly marked with brown spots on pale silvery green spoon-shaped leaves. The foliage is soon followed by the flower stems. Flowers are white with a large basal spot and paler lilac to the inner, greenish centres with the usual brown ring. These are borne on relatively short stems, the petals reflex back strongly.
