A fascinating genus of plants from the Berberidaceae family. This japanese hybrid is semi-evergreen and the new growth rises in early spring shortly after which, the flowers emerge. Leaves are fresh green when young but colour up to a deeper green when mature. Flowers are borne in short racemes, are a rich pink on the sepals and white on the petals in colour, and hang pendulously from upright stems.
