A fascinating genus of plants from the Berberidaceae family. This hybrid is deciduous and the new growth rises in early spring shortly after which, the flowers emerge. Leaves are fresh green when young but colour up to a deeper green when mature. Flowers are borne in short racemes and are a soft pink in colour about the same size as E. grandiflorum.
