A fascinating genus of plants from the Berberidaceae family. This hybrid is deciduous and the new growth rises in early spring shortly after which, the flowers emerge. This is thought to be a seedling between the two parents diphyllum and likely youngianum Niveum. Leaves are a fresh pale green when young but darken a little as they age. Flowers are borne in short racemes, are a pure white in colour, and hang pendulously from upright stems. Very similar to youngianum Niveum but the flowers are maybe a bit larger.
