An exceptional alpine plant with grass-like silvery grey leaves around 2 cm long spread along very much prostrate stems which radiate from a central stock. Flowers are around 2 cms wide and are lavender-blue in colour, open mouthed and point outwards or upwards. These are borne in small clusters at the stem tips.
