A rhizomatous perennial forming solid clumps of erect rigid stems carrying both evergreen leaves and flowers, borne in early summer. The leaves on this plant are narrowly lanceolate, rich green with a strongly glossy upper surface. Flowers are borne at leaf petiole basesand are lightly lemon scented. Easy in damp shady sites.
