An attractive low growing tuberous plant from Turkey and the Caucasus etc with rounded deep green leaves. These usually rise in early autumn and remain through the winter months. Flowers are in a range of colours from white to deep pink with broad petals reflexing upwards, these are borne in late winter to early spring. One flower per stem but multiple stems per plant. Easy and reliable in a lightly shaded spot in the garden.
