A succulent leaved perennial which we find is hardy here with us although it will defoliate if the temperature drops below -12C or thereabouts. Leaves are deep green, needle-like but quite succulent at around 1 cm long. These are held on succulet stems and when the plant reaches 30 cms high it can look rather like a bonsai tree! Flowers are strong pink opening from red buds and last for many weeks.
