A smaller species with digitate foliage on stems to a height of around 35 cms or so. The flowers are the main feature and this species excels. They are held close to the ground and extend to around 15 cms high. The outside of the spathe is a sandy brown colour with the inner a rich chocolatey brown. The spadix is also deep red/brown.
