A very easy species to grow, typical of this group of arisaemas. Growth starts a little later than some species, often as late as June. Leaves tend to rise first and unfurl as the flowers emerge. Starting with the leaves, these are some of the largest of the genus - or at least the way we grow them they are! These are composed of three leaflets, two smaller and one large which can be up to 25cms wide and 35cms long, apple green and glossy. The flowers are quite unusual in that they have a degree of arching over to conceal the innards. Similar flowers to A. franchetianum but more slender and maybe a richer mahogany-red.
