This is a showy member of the genus of plants from South Africa which grow well in a gritty well drained but not dry soil in full sun. Allium-like foliage is very soft and rich green, growing away in mid spring from the white bulbs. Flowers are held on stems to around 50 cms high, bright lemon yellow and a sweet scent is also present.
