A fabulous little Ajuga for a semi-shaded site where it will make a dense mat of growth. The foliage is the main attraction being a deep purplish red/brown in colour. They are also quite puckered adding to the interest. Flowers are the typical Ajuga style - short spikes to around 15 cms high and a slatey blue in colour, standing out well against the rich foliage colour.
