A super japanese woodland perennial which should be grown in light to deep shade and in moist fertile soil. The leaves are shallowly lobed, deep green and palmate with reddish petioles and held on red stems. A good yellow autumn colour is exhibited to add interest. Flowers individually are bright yellow with a short tube and 5 wide open lobes. Many are produced in the flattened flowerhead which can be up to 10 cms wide. Flower buds take a long time to open but are also bright yellow adding more interest.
