A lovely species from Western Europe and the Meditteranean with foliage consisting of several rich-green pointed leaflets and all held on a rigid stem which can reach around 40 cms in height. Flowers are mid to pale pink with conspicuous yellow stamens and last for several weeks. Attractive dark seeds follow which are held in a bright crimson-red receptacle on opening. Lasts for many weeks if the birds don't take them!
We have obtained this from seed as kavachensis but are aware that it is sometimes listed as mascula ssp. mascula as the photo.
