Fritillaria camschatcensis Alaskan Form
Product Details

This is the Alaskan form of the species which is normally found widespread in Eurasia.

An exceptional form and very easy to grow in the garden. Stems rise from flattened bulbs in early spring and carry numerous lance-shaped glossy deep-green leaves with prominent veins. Flowers are obviously the main attraction here. These are borne in multiples at the stem tips with as many as 10 flowers opening in rapid succesion until all are open. Flower colour is deep purple although on this form, there is a degree of green in the flower. Likes to run around in the soil but not to any great extent.
