An exotic looking herbaceous perennial with strap-shaped leaves from rosettes rising early in the year. The leaves are a pale green with occasional very fine tufts of hairs, being quite rigid and held close to the soil surface. We've included this plant along with the Roscoea section here also as it resembles a Roscoea in the root department! The flowers are the main interest being very much orchid-like in appearance being a crisp glistening white with three petals. Each flower last just one day but a rapid succession keeps the interest for several weeks in spring and again throughout summer.
