A rarely offered perennial from the USA which is not too dissimilar in leaf to an Aquilegia. Completely herbaceous, this american perennial rises early in spring, the foliage is quite pinnate and each leaflet is around 1 cm wide, rich-green in colour. Flowers are clean white and hang pendulosly from the upper parts of the stems. Numerous flowers are produced and the flowerhead looks rather like a frothy mass!
